Pensacola Marathon Information
Marathon Race Route The USATF certified course (#FL-05041DL) will start in Downtown Pensacola and turn north on Scenic Highway, winding through Northeast Pensacola and running on part of the Fiesta 10k course back onto Palafox near Texar, and all the way south on Palafox to Garden Street, heading west toward the Naval Air Station on Barrancas. Coming back east on Garden street the course will turn south onto Palafox and end at the foot of Palafox.
Half-Marathon Race Route The half marathon will follow the same course as the marathon, but will turn west on Summit Blvd. and head towards 12th Ave. It will once again follow the marathon course until making a roundabout near A St. and Garden before heading east towards Palafox, ending at the foot of Palafox.

Late Registration Athletes can register at the race expo on Friday, Feb. 13 th and Saturday, Feb 14th at the Crowne Plaza Grand Hotel 200 East Gregory Street. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!

Awards
Awards given to top male and female in the following groups: Overall; Masters (age 40-49); Grand Masters (age 50-59); Senior Grand Masters (age 60+).
Age group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14-18 (½ marathon only); 18-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75+.
Post Race Refreshments Food and refreshments provided by Subway will be provided immediately after the race.
THE DETAILS
Race Course This 26.2 mile scenic USATF certified course (#FL-05041DL) is one of the last Boston Marathon Qualifiers in the Southeast.
Race Start & Timing The race will begin at 6:30 a.m. sharp and will be timed using the ChampionChip timing system. Start location TBA.
Course Time Limit The course will close at 12:30 p.m. (6 hour time limit). All participants in the marathon and half marathon must maintain at least a 14 minute per mile pace for the first four miles.
Aid Stations There are (14) aid stations approximately every one to two miles, offering PowerAde and spring water. Energy gel will be available at stations near miles 9, 18 and 23. Portable toilets and medical support will be available at each aid station as well.
Course Restrictions Due to insurance regulations, bicycles, strollers, baby joggers, roller blades and pets are prohibited on the race course.
Amenities All registered participants will receive a Pensacola Marathon or Half Marathon technical running shirt. All finishers will receive a 3 inch commemorative Pensacola Marathon or Half Marathon medal.
